Movie Mondays!

A bit ham-handed at times, Michael Moore’s documentary still manages to underscore the issue of why there has been no substantiative reform in the area of medical care, cost and coverage for American citizens over the last three decades. Focusing on diminishing benefits offered to Americans via employer health-care programs, the obstacles set up by HMOs to those who do have coverage and the absence of coverage for a growing number of the American population, Moore manages to get his point across comparing the US with countries who have government run health care in place. Taking the viewer on a world tour of those societies and comparing overall health data between those countries and the United States, Moore strongly makes the case for reform.
